Practice set-up

9v9+GK. Objective of reds, play in the marked area to generate finishing situations. Blues defend goal and attack yellow line.

Type: Tactical-Progression playing between the lines

Players: 9v9+GK (19) 

Key coaching points

-Switch the play (inside) to go forward.

-Back movement of the striker and forward movements of 2nd line players.

 -Space management: wide and depth.

-Movements, controls and body positions to go forward.

-Associative triangles to overcome lines.

-Wingers inside and explode the sides with full-backs.

Practice set-up

Building up from the back trying to progress to creation zone. Red team 1-4-2-1 attack 3 s. goals. Blue team 4-2 attack BG after recovery. Importance of the inside players, support movements, try to receive behind midfielders line, combine with full backs…

Type: Tactical building up. Progression from initial zone to creation zone.

-Choose the right moment to make aggressive controls, driving and passing forward to progress.

-Midfielders and Of. Midfielder in continuous movement with good body position. 2 offer support lines/1 tries to receive at the back of Mid. Line.

-When playing inside, full backs offer passing lines outside to progress in lateral zones.

Practice set-up

7v7 in the middle zone. When finding the best moment (min. after 4 passes), movement to the finishing zone and pass to finish. Two attackers and one defender can enter the finishing zone.

Key coaching points

-Ball possession to find the best moment to progress.

-Movements to the space to receive in the finishing zone.

-Timing between movement to the finishing zone and last pass.

-Fast finishing actions.

Type: Tactical combination and attack the space to finishing.

Players: 7v7+PTs (16)

Practice set-up

9v6 in two zones. Objective of blue team switch from one side to the other (attacker players are free to move in all the space). Red team defends with 2 players in the side of the ball and with 4 players in the middle line that can go to press if appropriate.

Key coaching points

-Ball possession to find the best moment to

progress.

-Movements forward to press of the players in the middle line, when the action requires it.

-If one player moves forward to press has the priority to avoid progression.

-Players in middle line covering passing lines and ready to press.

Type: Tactical long goal kick situations.

10+GKv10. Blues play long goal kick to the marked zones. After that challenge, 2nd play and transitions. Objective of blues overcome yellow line. If reds recover they attack big goal.

Key coaching points

-Space management in the goal kick 3-4-3.

-Challenge and 2nd play, importance of winning 2nd ball.

 -Conducts and management of the transitions.

-Importance of winning the ball with middle line if we loose the challenge.

-Fast attack winning the ball to the space or winning the 2nd play and forward movements.

Practice set-up

Moment: Main Part

Type: Tactical fast offensive transition.

Players: 5v3-8v9+PT (18)

Blues play a 5x3 in the small square. After reds recover the ball, offensive transition to attack the goal (decide if we want all the blues to defend or not). Safety pass + fast offensive transition.

Key coaching points

-Safety pass after recovering the ball, back with centre backs or to the sides with full backs.

-After that pass, vertical and fast attack in the sides, 1v1 situations.

-Timing and zones to attack the box in lateral crosses.

-Crosses, as a principle, down if they are inside the box, touched and over if they are outside the box.

Practice set-up

9v9+GK. We play first to the marked zones in the sides to make attacking situations from the sides, 2v1-3v2 situations.

Key coaching points

-Side players take advantage with driving, dribbling, 2-1, triangle passes FB-CM-W.

-Finishing zones and timing of runs into box.

-Crosses, as a principle, down if they are inside the box, touched and over if they are outside the box.

-Associative triangles to overcome lines in the sides.

Practice set-up

6v6+3 (1in-2out). We play 5v5+3 in middle zone with the objective of attacking 2 small goals. To score we have to play with deep player, play back and finish in sg.

Key coaching points

-Ball possession to find the best moment to progress.

-Switch the play to find progression spaces.

-Play with deep player and movements forward of 2nd line players to play back and finish.

Type: Tactical. Progress with deep player and play back.

Players: 6v6+3 (15)

7v7+1. To score in small goals the ball has to enter the inside square first. We work playing inside and playing outside to progress.

Key coaching points

-Width space management to find inside space, take it and play inside then outside.

-Switch the play after playing inside to find progression spaces.

-Inside mobility, combine support and break movements, vertical passes…
